Researchers have found that the first Evans immigrant was the Rev. Samuel Evans from Wales.  He was a minister in Wales, he was persecuted and then moved to Scotland.  Samuel's speech was so broken his congregation could not understand him, his writings were not broken though.  Samuel moved from Scotland to Virginia. The date is being researched.
