Benjamin Hamilton Pollock began military service circa 1812 as a fifer and private in Capt. Arch McKinney's co. of cavalry and Capt. Peter Searcy's infantry company from Lincoln Co., TN. under Col. Philip Pipkin. His widow received pensions WO-28586 and SC-7163. He lived circa 1801 and 1806 in Anderson Co., TN. He lived circa 1815 in White Co., TN.

According to "Goodspeed's History of White County, Tennessee", Benjamin Pollock was among those who settled in the Sparta neighborhood between 1800 and 1815. In other court documents, a Pollock Ford was mentioned as being located on the Calf Killer.
